“This isn’t just insane, it’s dangerous; it’s incredibly dangerous,” Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley says, reacting to current Secretary of State Antony Blinken inviting the U.N. to investigate racism in America.
With severe human rights violations running rampant in other U.N. Human Rights Council member countries like China, Cuba and Venezuela, the U.S. looks ridiculous inviting the U.N. to investigate “the freest, best country in the world,” Haley said in a Fox News Channel interview on Wednesday.
Haley said she knew the Biden Administration was extremely liberal, but she had no idea it was so insane:
“First of all, I thought the Biden Administration was extreme leftist. But, this is flat-out insane, Martha. You have a million Muslim Uighurs being tortured. You have people being bullied and beaten in the streets of Cuba. You have Venezuelans that are arresting political protesters, all of which Biden chooses to sit with on the Human Rights Council, and the U.S. is asking the United Nations – a cesspool of political bias – to come into the United States and investigate us on human rights?
“We look so ridiculous in the eyes of the world right now. I can’t imagine what the world is thinking. I can’t imagine what those ambassadors at the U.N. are thinking. I sat there and fought for the fact that we were the freest, best country in the world.
“Now you have our own secretary of state calling the U.N. to do an investigation? You can’t make this up. This isn’t just insane, it’s dangerous. It’s incredibly dangerous.”
“When all of these things are going on in the world, the last thing you would think is that our own U.S. would turn around and ask that we be investigated by the United Nations that’s never been kind to us,” Haley said.
“It’s tone deaf. It’s dangerous. It doesn’t make sense,” Haley concluded.
